This video is all about using oil paint to replicate general panel weathering. I show you how to simulate rust and grime streaks down the hull and discolouration to add interest to a monotone finish. I also show how to replicate grime and dust buildups about details.

Oils are also very useful for washes, and I have used them to make a heavily chipped winter whitewash along with some other products as well

Paul has been with Model Builder International since almost the beginning. He started building models as a boy, and took a hiatus, but started building again a few years ago. He builds pretty much anything, but mostly WW2, with a smattering of modern and the occasional SciFi model.
