The decals cover 10 aircraft and gives you the additional decals you will need to model a specific aircraft from one of the many Luftwaffe im Focus books. You will still need to utilise the various stencils and small items from the decals that come with the kit.

The decals are by Catograf and are up to their usual high standard, with crisp, clear colours and solid whites.

These decals are drawn from photographs in the Luftwaffe im Focus series and the instructions tell you which magazine in the series to refer to for larger photographs and more information on the aircraft in question. There is a small photograph of each aircraft on the instruction sheet along with basic information about the aircraft in German. However, you will still be able to work out what the instruction sheet is saying. If you have the relevant Luftwaffe im Focus edition you will already have plenty of information in English to answer your questions. The decals simply replace the relevant kit decals and the instruction sheet has part views to show the placement of some decals where it can’t be easily seen or isn’t immediately obvious.

Here’s a list of which Luftwaffe im Focus to look at for your references:

  • Bf 109 E-4 Channel Front Sept 1940.  Luftwaffe im Focus 21
  • Bf 109 E-7 Balkans Apr 1941.  Luftwaffe im Focus 9
