Kagero TopDrawings #67 Bf 109G/K

The TopDrawings series of books are smaller books that supply line drawings in a couple of scales along with some color profiles and other drawings. This is book 67 in the series.

This book is about the Bf 109G and K. There are many 1/48 and 1/72 line drawings of the various models inside. There’s a set of masks for painting the wing and fuselage crosses for 1/72 and 1/48 kits. There are 12 crosses in each scale so you can do 2 aircraft at each scale. There are also 7 color profiles in the center of the book and the rear cover and an A3 double-sided set of 1/48 diagrams of the Bf 109K.

The book starts off with a short overview of the Bf 109G/K and mentions the changes to engines and armament for each sub-type. Then it gets straight into the line drawings. The book is broken down into areas for 1/48 and 1/72 and also has 7 color profiles.

The first 15 pages of the book are in 1/48 scale and go through all the different versions of the aircraft showing you all the panel lines and other features. There are profiles cross-sections of the fuselage and wings as well as views of components of the aircraft, such as wheels, propellors, armament, etc. The last 4 pages of the book are in 1/72 scale and show the various models with areas that changed from the previous version highlighted in grey and also described in the text. in the center of the book are 5 color profiles, 4 are port views and 1 is port, starboard, and above views. There are 2 more color port view profiles on the back cover.
