This sheet contains decals of all the 15 aircraft flown by Gerhard Barkhorn, from the Bf 109E/F/G to the Fw 190 D-9 and Me 262. In the accompanying book, page views and photos are available of each of the aircraft. The book itself will be reviewed here soon.

The decal sheet uses crosses and balkenkreuz from the kit you’re using and adds to it the items you will need to model one of Gerhard Barkhorn’s aircraft. The booklet that comes with the decals shows you a side view of the aircraft in question and also a small photograph – some in colour. The booklet tells you what colour scheme the particular aircraft was in and as long as you know, or can do some research, on what a standard scheme is you will be ok. However, it will be much easier if you have the book that accompanies this decal sheet. The book contains several photographs of each aircraft and is an in depth reference for each of the aircraft and you can even make a diorama based on historical photographs. The decals cover:

  • Bf 109 E-1
  • Bf 109 F-2
  • Bf 109 F-4
  • Bf 109 G-2
  • Bf 109 G-6
  • Bf 109 G-10
  • Fw 190 D-9
  • Me 262 A-1a

The quality of the decals themselves is very good and are the equal of anything out there. The whites look good and the other colours are vibrant.

The decal sheet is highly recommended and will allow you to build a unique aircraft.

You can find the decals here.

Thanks to my wallet for the decals 🙂
